Day 0Claire hadn't been very comfortable with the initial idea. Her friend sort of put her up to it with the phrase: what have you got to lose? It was a good question. Why should she put an ad out there? All she was doing was giving a very brief description of herself and what she was looking for. Sweet, simple, easy. Why not? And so she had. SWF NS 29, enjoys dogs, outdoors, camping, sunset walks, horseback riding, and chocolate cake seeking SWM NS 25-35, must love animals, smiling, be kind, considerate, and understanding Ref. # 001017 That was what she sent in. It looked about write and it was what fit in the space. So that, was that.

Day 1
Well, today was the day she would see her ad in print. She snagged a paper on her way to the barn and made her way to the rider's lounge. Ah-ha. There it was in the second column. It was printed just as she had written it out to be. Claire knew that it was too late to turn back now. She took a deep breath and ran through her competition, there were so many. Almost twice as many women than there were men which made some sort of sense to her, but was no less comforting.
"And my options listed here are?" She muttered to herself as she ran her finger over the listings. Claire was a little disheartened by her options, there were not many. "Oh well, its not like I'm desperate or anything. If I were, I'd be out speeddating like Brittany." She told herself this if only to make her feel a little better.

Day 2
Claire wasn't anticipating a huge response to her ad. Hell, she would surprised if she heard anything at all. Yet, for all of that non-expectation, Claire couldn't help but feel a little bit disappointed. She hadn't recieved one anonymous e-mail or any calls from the paper requesting permission to give out her phone number in the even that whoever inquired after her did not have an e-mail account.
"No need to get down, Claire." She said to herself as she settled into her lunch. "Patience is a virtue." She recited to herself. There was plenty of time for someone to read through the ads and see hers and be interested. The ad would be there the whole week. "Plenty of time."
