Kori Baker
[/color]Introduction
May I introduce myself? I am Kori. I am 17 years old. I have been riding for four years and consider myself a novice rider (maybe a bit better). I am a female and I happen to find guys attractive.
Mirror Reflections
Well, I'm pretty plain, really. Where to start ... well, this morning I cut my bangs so that they lay across my forehead. Yeah, its annoying sometimes, but my mom thinks its cute .... Yeah, I know, its sad when the mom thinks its cute. My hair is usually kind of curly, and is bright copper. I have green-flecked eyes and pale skin, like most red-heads do. So, obviously, I burn easily. My mom is always scolding me that I'm too skinny. The problem is, I spend way more time with the horses. I'm around five-foot-eight-and-a-half, I think, and am very gangly looking. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl.
Psychoanalyze Me
Hm ... well, I have been told by my friends and family that I'm 'apathetic'. I can't help it. I just don't care. Anything that doesn't have to do with horses, or photography, is troublesome. Why bother if its not doing any good for me in the end, I say! My friends always comment on how sarcastic I am; its a way of life, really. I can tend to be very determined, and creative, I'm told. I don't see, how, though. I think that's it ....
.:likes:. :Photography, horses, cute guys, Flinstone's Vitamins. (You know, those things that you may have taken as a kid?)
.:dislikes:. Bleach-blonde and dim-witted girls, fashion trends, flip-flops.
.:weaknesses:. Her leg slips usually, because its not exactly strong, maths, dancing.
.:strengths:. Photography, bonding with horses, meeting people. (She can meet them, no guarantees she'll keep them.)
.:fears:. Heights-- the fear of what waits below--, birds, mustard.
A Glimpse of Ages Past
I grew up in a very small town, but I had big aspirations. My grandpa always told me you have to dream your dreams, to be able to live them. So when I was 12, my grandpa finally invested in some horse-back riding lessons. At first I hated them, because I couldn't get the hang of it. But if it weren't for Pirate, the first horse I'd ever ridden, I would've quit long ago. He was very sweet, and loved attention. He was what got me into photography, too!
My family consisted of three people: My mother, my father, and my younger brother, Joseph (who is seven). My mother died when I was twelve, and when I was fourteen, my father was put into jail. The reason? Well, my father had become so depressed over my mother's death, that he began drinking. One Saturday, late at night, enraged by the alochol, a man confronted him. He angered my father enough, and my father struck him until he died. I haven't conversed with him since. My aunt and uncle soon stepped in, and took care of Joseph and I. But I missed my horses. I begged them a million times to let me go back to riding, so they sent me to Chasing March's.
